We want to register. How does this work?

OPEN DIVISION/WOMENS DIVISION: Teams admitted on a first-come, first-pay, first-complete-registration basis. After signing up for an online account, you will be able to submit your online team registration. Your team name will be added to the Teams page online. Your team name on the "Teams" section doesn't mean you are fully registered. Payment of Tournament Fee and submission of your Team Roster will complete your registration. Please confirm your team is registered before making travel arrangements!

How much is it to register a team for the Texas Shootout?
OPEN DIVISION: The early bird registration fee is $400 if registered and paid by March 31, 2019. The regular entry per team is $450. There are no additional umpire or ball fees.
WOMENS DIVISION: The entry per team is $350. There are no additional umpire or ball fees.

What is the payment deadline?
The payment deadline for all Open Divisions is Friday, May 10, 2019. For Womens', Friday, May 31st 2019.

How do I register a team?
To register your team visit our Register page:

  1. You must first sign up for an online account.
  2. Confirm your account via a confirmation email you will receive upon signing up.
  3. Once confirmed, log on to your account and add your team.
  4. From this page you will also be able to submit payment.

If my division is full, is there a waiting list?
OPEN DIVISION/: A waiting list will be established once we reach division maximums. Teams will be placed in brackets from a blind draw. However, if possible, we will place teams from the same league in different round robin brackets.
WOMENS DIVISION: A waiting list will be established if we reach 20 teams.

What are the team/player eligibility requirements?
OPEN DIVISION: 2019 NAGAAA player ratings and team classification guidelines will be used for Open Division teams. Teams/Players not NAGAAA registered will be entertained on a case-by-case basis and must complete the full 27 question NAGAAA ratings for each player. Contact the Tournament Director for eligibility issues and prior to sending in your entry form.
WOMENS DIVISION: 2019 ASANA player ratings and team classification guidelines will be used for Women's Division teams. 

What is the best way to keep track of the bracket and stay up-to-date with announcements?

OPEN DIVISION/WOMENS DIVISION: You can download the Texas Shootout app from the Android and Apply app store.



How early will games start?
OPEN DIVISION/WOMENS DIVISION: Depending on how many teams register, we will try and have games start no earlier than 8 AM on Saturday and Sunday. This is subject to change as needed. 

What time do the Championship Games start?
OPEN DIVISION: Championship Game times TBD.
WOMENS DIVISION: Championship Game times TBD.

When are the elimination games?
OPEN DIVISION: The tournament its best to have no elimination games on the first day (Saturday). Though this is our wish, other constraints, i.e. number of teams in a division and field scheduling, may dictate otherwise. There will be a slight chance that some teams will have to be eliminated on the first day.
WOMENS DIVISION: The tournament will be a one (1) day tournament on Saturday. Teams will be gauranteed at least four (4) games.

Will you offer refunds?
OPEN DIVISION: Full refund until March 31st / 50% refund until May 17th
WOMENS DIVISION: Full refund until March 31st / 50% refund until June 7th.

Are there uniform requirements?
OPEN DIVISION/WOMENS DIVISION: Each player must wear a team jersey which must be in like color and style and must have a player/roster number as described by USA Softball rules. Exceptions will be granted on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of the umpire.
